IGRA
Interferon Gamma Release Assay
IGRA tests from QIAGEN
IGRAs measure a person’s immune reactivity to M. tuberculosis. White blood cells from most persons that have been infected with M. tuberculosis will release interferon-gamma (IFN-g) when mixed with antigens (substances that can produce an immune response) derived from M. tuberculosis
- High sensitivity and specificity
- Well documented test method
- Several application to meet your specific need
The QFT test employs a peptide cocktail simulating ESAT-6 and CFP-10 proteins to stimulate cells in heparinized whole blood. Detection of IFN-γ by ELISA is used to identify in vitro responses to these peptide antigens, which are associated with M. tuberculosis infection. Premolecular Diagnostics that employ QuantiFERON technology, like QFT-Plus, are able to detect infection at an earlier stage than is possible with DNA- and RNA-based molecular diagnostics .
Fast and easy
IFNγ release assay, commonly known as an IGRA, measures the cell-mediated immune response to specific TB antigens in whole blood. The test employs standard phlebotomy procedures using whole blood to make sample collection easy and fast. Sample incubation can occur on-site or at the testing laboratory, providing your practice with complete flexibility and convenience. Patients may be tested in a single patient visit, with objective results.

QuantiFERON®-TB Gold Plus
QuantiFERON®-TB Gold Plus is an ELISA test for the detection of M. tuberculosis in immunocompetent individuals. The analysis is particularly relevant in those who have received the BCG vaccine, as the analysis, in contrast to skin tests with tuberculin (Mantoux), can distinguish between infection with M. tuberculosis and vaccination.

QuantiFERON® SARS-CoV-2
Learn how QuantiFERON SARS-CoV-2 RUO can help you explore immune response markers in SARS-CoV-2 infections and better understand their role in COVID-19.

QuantiFERON®-CMV
QuantiFERON® – CMV is a blood test that measures the immune response of CD8+ cells to CMV. The test is used to monitor people’s risks of developing CMV disease and can be used in connection with organ transplants to predict whether patients have an increased risk of developing CMV disease.
Simpler for the better
If you work within the field of microbiology, you might be familiar with Occam’s Razor. At SSI Diagnostica, we champion a slightly adapted version of this principle:
The simplest solution is usually the best one.
