Perform within Colony Counting
CompactDry™ offers 14 different media specific for different microorganisms. Several of the plates are NordVal approved. All types are available in packs of 40, 240, 500 or 1400 plates.
The sample penetrates quickly and uniformly into the medium – no need for further spreading

(E. coli and Coliforme)
Chromogenic medium for culturing and counting coliforms and E. Coli. Coliform colonies grow with red colonies and E. coli colonies will be blue
For culturing and counting total aerobic germ count. The colonies emerge as red as the medium is added to TTC.
(Yeast and Mold)
Chromogenic medium for growing and counting yeast and mold. Yeast will grow as blue colonies and molds will grow as “cotton wool” -like colonies with characteristic colors.
(Yeast and Mold Rapid)
Chromogenic medium for growing and counting yeast and mold. Yeast will grow as blue colonies and molds will grow as “cotton wool” -like colonies with characteristic colors. Incubation only 1-2 days.
Chromogenic media for selective culture, counting and identification of Staphylococcus aureus. The colonies will appear blue / green.
For cultivation and counting of Enterobacteriaceae which will grow with red / violet colonies. The Enterobacteriaceae group includes Citrobacter, Enterobacter, Escherichia, Klebsiella, Morganella, Proteus, Salmonella, Serratia, Shigella, Yersinia and more.
Chromogenic medium for selective culture and presumptive identification, and counting of Listeria spp. Listeria spp. will grow as blue colonies.
Chromogenic medium for presumptive identification of Salmonella spp. The colonies will grow with a green or blue / green color with a black center
For germ count and presumptive identification of P. aeruginosa in water and food. The colonies will grow with a red color most often with a yellow / green outer zone.
Chromogenic medium for culturing and counting E. coli. E. coli will grow (22 – 24 h) with small blue colonies.
Chromogenic medium for culturing and counting B. cereus. B. cereus will grow with light blue / blue colonies.
Chromogenic medium for culturing and counting heterophile bacteria in water (ISO 6222). Almost all the colonies will grow with a red color. Yeast is commonly seen as white / pink colonies and molds have typical “cotton-like” colonies.
Chromogenic medium containing X-GAL for culturing and counting coliform bacteria. The colonies will grow with a blue / blue-green color.
Chromogenic medium for culturing and differentiating Vibrio paraheamplyticus. V. heamolyticus grows with blue / green colonies and other vibrio spp. growing with white colonies.
